Amino acids

Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins, which are essential macromolecules for the human body. There are 20 standard amino acids, each with a unique chemical structure and specific role in various biological processes.

These amino acids are categorized into two groups: essential and non-essential. Essential amino acids cannot be synthesized by the body and must be obtained through the diet, while non-essential amino acids can be synthesized by the body itself.
