Vitamin K2 is found in small amounts in eggs, dairy products, and meat. According to new research, K2 appears to be able to counteract blood vessel atherosclerosis and reduce osteoporosis. Vitamin K2 is needed for calcium to be stored correctly in the body, otherwise the calcium would remain in soft tissues (meaning calcium storage). This can happen due to a lack of vitamin K2. Vitamin K2 is in the form of menaquinone 7, which is the natural form of vitamin K.
Vitamin K2 (Menakinon-7)
Vitamin K contributes to a normal blood clotting to maintain normal bone structure.
Vitamin D contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system, normal uptake/utilization of calcium, and phosphorus, and encourages normal calcium levels in the blood to maintain normal bone structure and normal muscle function to maintain normal teeth. Vitamin D has a role in the cell division process.
